  • Performance problems on ems20
  • ems20 is currently performing very badly. We have opened a ticket with the provider, Netrack Servers in Toronto, Canada. The problem looks very much like they're shaping us down to 1 Mbit/s both directions -- this is of course not acceptable.

     

    • Update Apr 23 11:16 UTC: Still no reply from the provider -- OK, it's early morning there. I suppose we need to be a bit more patient.
    • Update Apr 23 18:22 UTC: No reply from the provider other than "we will investigate". It's quite obvious that there is nothing to investigate, just configuration to remove.
    • Update Apr 24 14:00 UTC: After I asked for an update the provider claims the issue is solved. It's not. I recognize the pattern from earlier experiences with other providers.
    • Update Apr 28 17:00 UTC: I've been able to contact someone at Netrack Servers and ask him to ask the techies to look into my ticket. Someone did, but all he did was asking unnecessary questions. They're mucking us about when they know exactly what is going on. I really wonder what we've done to them -- the server wasn't particularly high in traffic.
