Web site and payment problems

Someone's playing tricks on us again. This time they found a way to overload the database with silly account creations through the API that caused an optimisation in the database engine to break, resulting in a severe overload of the database. This is now fixed (i.e. detected as well as solved), and service is back to normal. We can only apologise! The attack is ongoing (in fact people are attacking us all the time; you get used to it) but it's no longer causing problems.
